SWIM REPORT!

Having just arrived home after after a hectic, overindulgent but most enjoyable family holiday in Europe,
our intrepid swimmers were down to two entrants for this years, 29th Annual Cottesloe to:
Swanbourne Ocean Classic Swim Thru 2014.
Only one training session in more than two months and still jetlagged it was into the water and away on Saturday Feb 01.

Another beautiful calm morning under clear blue skies met our swimmers as they entered the water, all seemed clear of sharks and other "quick eating critters" so they settled into the swim, despite all the things against them this year both swimmers almost made exactly the same time as last year (a lot more effort went into last year!!) a most surprising result, all taken into consideration and one we have decided here in Nain that shows next years time will see records broken and personal bests ripped up and relaced by our Royal Hutt River Silverfish as they take on the Indian Ocean.
(At least the bit from Cottesloe to Swanbourne!) for the .

No stingers and no sharks??.......
Fortunate!
Since a nice 2.7M Tiger Shark was caught there and taken further out to sea and released yesterday!!!
Not “great” results but smack in the middle of the pack so no embarrassment either.

No Busselton Jetty Swim or Fremantle to Rottnest Island for our team this year.
The excesses have won........but watch out next year as was heard just this last week.........
